SD2SNES font
Looks like it's this file, and that the font is 2 bit-per-pixel 8x8 tiles. 4096 bytes is enough to define 256 characters at 16 bytes per tile. So, it's a bitmap font, just not in a convenient format for uses besides linking into an SNES binary.

SD2SNES/FX Pak Pro: Firmware v1.11.0 released
Make sure to report bugs to ikari over on his github when you find them.
- MSU-1 on FXPak
- Just got a sd2snes last week for a great price. This thing is so cool!

Terranigma MSU-1 enhanced not holding save on FKPAKPRO
This MSU-1 exclusive SD card access limitation has been discussed for several years now. You can check out the sd2snes GitHub below for an interesting read... https://github.com/mrehkopf/sd2snes/issues/80 I myself went through this nightmare of losing saves in RPGs and the only way my saves were consistent is by pressing/holding RESET for at least 2-3 seconds and letting go. Doing a quick reset is hit or miss.

Having troubles Launching MSU-1 titles on FXPAK Pro
Open an issue on the sd2snes github and see if they can help or perhaps you found a bug! https://github.com/mrehkopf/sd2snes This is the firmware fx pak pro uses.

anyone know any cheaper fx pack pro alternatives
SD2SNES is technically an open spec, with all the code, design docs, etc available. Looking at Aliexpress, the cheapest ones hit just under $100.

You go the official firmware's releases page. The latest there is the one you already have installed.

new everdrive
Here's a link to the unofficial firmware Github. It's based on the latest SD2SNES firmware and has save state and SGB support. These changes have been merged back to the official SD2SNES Github where it's being worked on by ikari, the SD2SNES creator. Latest news 10h ago says the release is now right around the corner, there still is a single issue to be fixed, which will get rolled back if he can't find the cause soon.

ever driver first time
its not wrong, just a feature that has not been added yet, currently the firmware requires a software you run on the pc with a usb cable to save states. there is a 3rd party firmware that allows you to save on the console. this firmware also has the feature of running gameboy games off the sd2snes: Releases · furious/sd2snes · GitHub

Save states and SGB support for SD2SNES/FX Pak are coming with official firmware update
That was made by furious: https://github.com/furious/sd2snes/releases/tag/savestate_v12 - he already merged SGB into his branch. ikar01 merged that into the official tree quite a while ago, looks like he thinks it's ready for release soon.

Cannot get save states to work on FX Pak Pro. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I started with the latest official version, then I downloaded the custom firmware from here, unzipped it, and replaced the 'sd2snes' folder on my SD card.

Unable to get Savestates working on SD2SNES (1.10.3)
The unofficial one definitely works if you're comfortable using that.
