“The Economics of Programming Languages” by Evan Czaplicki [video]
Another very successful way to go about building a language is Imba.
Build a successful product with new lang https://scrimba.com, make sure the product's very hard to Jeff and take VC money.
Now you can work on the language as you please, and they can't Jeff you since nobody else can build something similar (not in a reasonable amount of time anyway)
P.S: taking VC money is optional. Scrimba is profitable so it wasn't necessary.

I have a bachelors but not in any software/web courses how do I get started to pursue this field?
i started with some html and css course on youtube, then learnt jquery briefly. then i used scrimba.com to learn javascript and react, its a really good platform, at this point, i learn frameworks to use with react, like tailwind, material ui. i would now learn typescript and this point and learn how to implement it with react. I then went to freeCodeCamp on youtube and watched their 8 hours node and express course. Note that none of this would be worth it if you dont build projects along the way. I personally would recommend atleast 3 projects for every stage you get to, and by yourself(and google ofcourse). Goodluck in your coding journey.

Internet Archive expands Flash support
Regarding a modern alternative to Flash, I just want to mention the Scrimba webdev learning platform [1], which leverages a custom built programming language [2] for making interactive courses and save the videos in an optimized vector format with a very small footprint.
It was released in a Launch HN 3 years ago [3]. Personally, I have used the platform to teach the basics of frontend web dev to my wife, and it was a great experience.

What do you think about interactive courses like Scrimba? Are there any that you like or would recommend?
Hi everyone! I'm in the very early stages of creating an interactive course and I would like to hear your thoughts on them. So far I've come across Scrimba and Jad Joubran's learn X series of sites (learnjavascript.online, learnhtmlcss.online, etc...). Has anyone completed any of them? Any there any others that you really like or would recommend?

Anyone want a mentor? I would like to help
It's been a while since I was beginner but when I was looking for beginner resources for a friend recently, I particularly liked scrimba's interactive courses. AFAIK they are also free and should give you a great start.
