Any windows users, know how to make your Keystroke Visualizer appear IN recordings? (OBS, Windows 7)
Would http://carnackeys.com/ do for you? If you prefer a commercial solution https://www.recmaster.net/how-to/show-keystrokes-while-screen-recording-2 might be of interest, unless you want to switch to Linux and use https://gitlab.com/screenkey/screenkey

Is there a way to print the recently typed symbols in the i3bar?
Not the exact solution but you can try screenkey

global keyboard events
the app I'm making is basically a screenkey clone ( but would ideally be cross-platform ) and to get the app to show the keys the user is pressing I need global keyboard events so the user doesn't have to focus the window to get it to work ( like what winit does ),

sxhkd osd on binding / chord press
There are tools like Screenkey1 that show every key you press. I'm however not aware of a tool that specifically only shows pressed keys that are bound in sxhkd.

Alternatives to screenkey?
Screenkey (https://gitlab.com/screenkey/screenkey) is a few thousand lines of python for a simple overlay showing the keys you just pressed, are there any less sucky alternatives?

How do you handle "generic packages" deployment?
I think it's not about missing commands, but missing destination (package repo of "generic" type). Very same issue posted here: https://github.com/community/community/discussions/38083

Strange issue with networking on Ubuntu Server 22.04
It appears that you're using IPv6 (your ping is returning IPv6 addresses). A quick search shows some github services may not support IPv6 but that's just a guess

VundleVim
Yeah, Vundle's (presumably temporary) removal caught me off guard today on a fresh install. This, in turn, has caused me to take a hard look at the Vim plugins I was using. Turns out I only needed one...which I wrote. So I'm now just storing that one in the horrible "vanilla" Vim plugin scheme and putting that in my dotfile management.
Just a good reminder that dependencies will always let you down. It's just a matter of time. Oh, and never turn your back on a big company.
Here's the tracking on this issue:

GitHub: "The VundleVim organization has been flagged. Because of that, your organization is hidden from the public."
