Handbrake has h.265 optimized for arm, and this github builds ffmpeg using it: https://github.com/Vargol/ffmpeg-apple-arm64-build

M2 really slow using ffmpeg compared to M1 Max
must be thermal throttling if you’re encoding x265 you can maybe squeeze more performance using this script to build ffmpeg from source https://github.com/Vargol/ffmpeg-apple-arm64-build
