RVM VS tigerbrew

After googling it seems this is what I can find on GitHub issues which appears to be the most recent thread on the issue, or a similar issue.

rvm (probably the most used manager)

One suggestion would be to setup your install based on a development environment using git and a Ruby version manager like rvm or rbenv to allows you to setup a user controlled gemset and execution path.

If you're using rvm, then the rvm repository.

For my local machine, I use RVM (head). Other options are rbenv and asdf.

You can use tools like rbenv(https://github.com/rbenv/rbenv) and rvm(https://rvm.io/) to be able install and easily switch between different ruby versions

It depends how you install it. If you install it globally then it will work for all your projects. Are you using rvm for ruby version and gemset management? https://rvm.io/

I have an early 2011 MacOS with High Sierra 10.13.6. I am attempting to learn from The Odin Project. I have installed XCode and have an account. I went to this link: https://github.com/mistydemeo/tigerbrew to download TigerBrew, thinking my old computer would support it. I'm not a Mac user either, unfortunately, so I don't know how much help I can be with getting things set up. I found something called tigerbrew that might be relevant?

pkgsrc also runs on other platforms, like NetBSD and illumos, so it has a better chance to work on old versions of macOS. Around 2018, I put pkgsrc on an old PowerPC Mac running the obsolete Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, and built a few packages. (I didn't use Joyent's Intel packages, and I didn't know the PowerPC packages at http://sevan.mit.edu/. I also didn't know Tigerbrew.)

I use Tigerbrew for this. It also supports 10.4 and 10.5. You'll also need a copy of XCode (I used version 2.5 on my Leopard install) to install pretty much anything.
