Error installing WN722N drivers
Anyhow, this is a bug report for the same issue: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus/issues/224
- How do i fix this?
- What platform is this GitHub program for? Only Android, or Android and x64/x86 Linux distros?

Series of problems trying to get to work a realtek 8188ftv usb adapter over arch
The driver is an old build that is supposed to be compiled in the 4.1.4 kernel, and it says that is for the RTL8188EUS but when i did lsusb linux detects the adapter as RTL8188FTV. I tried to compile it with the shell script provided by the disk but it ends in an error when trying to call prandom i think? I did a bit of digging and found that it has something to do with some dependencies that were renamed on newer kernels. So, i tried to find a newer version of the driver online and after opening a hole trough this imaginary wall with headbutts I found and installed https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus but it didn't work as expected and the adapter was still undetected. I did some more digging and found some post over the garuda linux forums about the RTL8188FTV and found a package on the AUR that actually worked on the 6.1 kernel. But again despite appearing with lsmod and being listed as being used by one device;
- I have a problem with monitor mode
- Im trying to install this driver but it doesnt work..do i need root?
- I've dual booted with windows, but I can't connect via Wi-Fi, I'm using a desktop with Realtek RTL8188FTV Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter, I can use it on Windows but seems like on Linux it can't find any networks or maybe something else, help newbie here.

Any advice on good Wi-Fi dongles without Realtek drivers?
Really, how can I know that the dongle is NOT shipped with a Realtek driver? In the last couple of years it's been the 3rd one with a Realtek chipset (TP-Link TL-WN725N w/ rtl8188eu) that causes complete system freeze (Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS on kernel 6.0.2). I've tried even the updated driver - still the same result!

How to make a wireless adapter with the rtl8188eu chipset be in monitor mode?
I tried installing https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu and https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus and none of the worked. The first one gave me access to internet connection, but the second one didn't even do that. Any driver for the TP-Link WN722N, that supports monitor mode?

Change Kernel configuration
So I'm trying other drives to see if that helps but this one in particular requires to have CONFIG_WIRELESS_EXT set in the Kernel configuration.
What are some alternatives?
