Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

We get the individual episode details from the items property of the RSS (we parse it using the rss-parser package) to handle RSS variants. We loop over each episode and emit a process:episode event for each one.

Creating an Automated Profile README using Nodejs and GitHub Actions
Since both RSS feeds are similar in structure, I can create a fetchRssData() function in src/fetchRssData.ts for both. We will first use the rss-parser library to turn the RSS XML feeds into JavaScript objects and then iterate to find the necessary fields.

Any stable RSS feed parsers?
Are there any stable RSS/Atom feed parsers in Java apart from Rome and https://github.com/w3stling/rssreader? I'm looking for the inbuilt ability to detect if there are new entries in a given feed.

Converting a dev.to feed to markdown
To parse the fetched data I use rssreader by Peter Westling. The library is easy to include using Maven or Gradle. And it is published under the MIT license.
