whats everyone playing on there deck right now ?
Fired it up and played it for about 20 minutes and it's the best running switch game I've tried yet! Plays very well. Of the 8 Switch games I have loaded, this is the only one that Yuzu gives a compatibility rating of "perfect" - I'm not familiar with emudeck, but you can install Yuzu right from the Discovery app store. This isn't steamdeck specific, but is still a very helpful guide in how to get Yuzu running if you decide to check it out: https://github.com/PrincessAkira/road-to-yuzu-without-switch

Mirror to ThePhawx's Yuzu Emulation Guide
Exactly. As long as the emulator doesn’t steal or reuse any proprietary code, they’re good to go. This is likely the reason Yuzu needs you to dump and setup keys from your switch to be able to run games. I wouldn’t be concerned about Nintendo going after Yuzu, but I would be concerned about them going after people hosting keys online like here: https://github.com/PrincessAkira/road-to-yuzu-without-switch

Yuzu on Shadow (Switch emulator)
Yuzu (switch emulator) is working great on Shadow. Follow this guide for an easy tutorial - https://github.com/PrincessAkira/road-to-yuzu-without-switch (there's also a guide if you have a switch model that is exploitable) just be sure to use Vulcan instead of OpenGL.

stupid question
So I'm using this guide (https://github.com/PrincessAkira/road-to-yuzu-without-switch/blob/slave/README.md) on how to get yuzu to work without dumping switch files, but I don't know what the author means by " Create a folder called "keys" and copy the key you got from here and paste it in the folder as a file called 'prod.keys' "

- Its kind of weird how you can actually loot the dead guardians on the castle pillars. Like did they really expect players to get there?

Hi, Mii expert here. Turns out, the NPCs in TLoZ:BotW use an advanced version of the Mii format, and you can mod Miis into the game. Details in replies :)
BotW actors all use a file called SBACTORPACK. Inside these SBACTORPACK files are a .bumii file and .bumii files contain all face info relating to minor Hylians and minor Sheikah (alongside color values for the other races). The face values match up identically with the values Miis have so you go into the .bumii, you replace the data with the Mii you want, and then you pack it back up and see the custom character in-game. There's a Github that's publicly visible that shows off all the UMiis, though not all of them are Hylian. The spreadsheet lists who is a minor Hylian/Sheikah NPC though.
