I have been working on a bot that works using that repo here https://github.com/richrobber2/discord it's still in the works but it does have basic functionality, but it uses discord.js so that would require NodeJS

API?
This project uses the code from InvokeAI and wrapped a Discord bot around it. Cloning it may give you a big jumpstart on creating your own. InvokeAI's pipeline is relatively stable, and supports a lot of features already. It's being used as the engine behind a few frontend projects already.
