Is there any lightweight tool to view and explore logs of an android device ?
You could use this SDK. https://github.com/requestly/requestly-android-sdk. Comes in handy when you want to check the logs on phone itself. Also comes with lots of other tools too (Network Debugger, Shared Preferences Editor, Analytics Events Debugger)

Requestly is a lightweight client-side debugging proxy to debug web & mobile apps. For the web, Requestly provides a browser extension on all major browsers and for mobile, Requestly provides a native Android SDK that provides a Chrome-like developer tool for Android debug builds. I have extensively used both the tools for debugging API traffic on Android devices but there are many pain points that the duo fails to solve hence I built an Open-Source and powerful android debugger which provides the capability of In-App API Inspector as well modifying the API request/response without dealing with SSL certificate and proxy issues.
