Documentation as code: Principles, workflow, and challenges
I prefer collocating docs with inplementation, but it requires a designed architecture to support. Example: https://github.com/xixixao/recomputer

Notepad Calculator
I have a non-exhaustive comparison table of different alternatives here:

- Show HN: I made a web-based notepad with a built in unit calculator

Insect
I kinda ran out of steam building my own calculator, which is here: https://recomputer.io/ . I haven't seen insect before, and it looks great! Especially given the landscape which I documented in the github readme: https://github.com/xixixao/recomputer

Along the same lines, I made a command line calculator that does basic unit conversions, and has a few other tricks up it's sleeve

I find it surprisingly useful. It's probably one of those things that has an audience of one, but I find it useful.

Sunday Daily Thread: What's everyone working on this week?
I'll be working on my Human Calc project this week. Lots of tools like this, but the idea is to provide a quick command-line calculator that solves basic math expressions:
What are some alternatives?
SoulverCore - A powerful Swift framework for evaluating natural language math expressions
eulalie - ES6 flavoured parser combinators
note-parser - A plain-text parser (in early stages).
MarkdownFormula - Use Excel-like formulas in markdown tables
Joplin - Joplin - the secure note taking and to-do app with synchronisation capabilities for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
insect - High precision scientific calculator with support for physical units
moo - Optimised tokenizer/lexer generator! 🐄 Uses /y for performance. Moo.
liveCalc - having fun with arithmetic
CalcPad - A different take on the caculator
