A 2024 Plea for Lean Software
Rebol [ http://www.rebol.com ] were still king.
It was simple to use, small executables, expressive, but no longer maintained :(

What is a lesser known programming language that you think could be better than Python for non-programmers doing general scripting?
In theory, something like Rebol is much better, but you have to accept that a big bonus in favor of python is it’s popularity, so much easier to find answers if you are stuck, etc

Interesting! I'm currently using NoiseTorch-ng. Although NoiseTorch works well, I don't like that you need to reload NoiseTorch every time you change a setting.

Easy Effects: Audio effects for PipeWire applications
I till now haven't figured out how to setup noise reduction in PipeWire. In Pulse, it was very easy. At the present, I'm using https://github.com/noisetorch/NoiseTorch.
