react-native-swiper VS react-native-snap-carousel

I agree with the react-native-snap-carousel recommendation and have used it in projects, I can also recommend react-native-swiper as a pure js option https://github.com/leecade/react-native-swiper

You can use https://github.com/leecade/react-native-swiper. Keep the screen index as a state value and use that to update the screen when a tab was tapped and use "onIndexChanged" to update the chosen tab when the screen is swiped.

You would be better off with a swiper lib like react-native-swiper.

custom interpolations and layouts

You can use react-native-snap-carousel to create the image slider and use a method given in the package (ex: onSlideFinished) to fade in and out your text/view on the bottom. I haven’t tried any fade in and out packages, I’m sure you can manually animate it. Found this for fading in and out views, give it a try and see.

I think the best search you can use to google this is “carousels”. I have used this in the past: https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel (see the Pagination conponent)

https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel has something like this for a single item (with the others trailing off to the side)... Not sure about multiple foreground items though.
