react-native-snap-carousel VS react-native-fast-image

You can use react-native-snap-carousel to create the image slider and use a method given in the package (ex: onSlideFinished) to fade in and out your text/view on the bottom. I haven’t tried any fade in and out packages, I’m sure you can manually animate it. Found this for fading in and out views, give it a try and see.

I think the best search you can use to google this is “carousels”. I have used this in the past: https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel (see the Pagination conponent)

https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel has something like this for a single item (with the others trailing off to the side)... Not sure about multiple foreground items though.

Hey there, thanks for checking it out. I am using a Realm local db for persistence, PostgressSQL for server. But the caching for images is handled by Fast Image (https://github.com/DylanVann/react-native-fast-image)

Sounds like react-native-fast-image is what you're looking for but you can't use it with expo go.
