react-native-deck-swiper VS react-native-snap-carousel

Thank you! I'm hoping to get it on iOS soon. React Native doesn't make cross-platform development as seamless as they claim :(

I don't believe tinder has a patent on this! I believe Likewise, an app similar to mine led to by an actual business, uses swipe-to-like.

I'm also an indie developer, so take it with a grain of salt. If I ever really had the time and resources to make this app into something profitable, I'd probably be scared, haha.

custom interpolations and layouts

You can use react-native-snap-carousel to create the image slider and use a method given in the package (ex: onSlideFinished) to fade in and out your text/view on the bottom. I haven’t tried any fade in and out packages, I’m sure you can manually animate it. Found this for fading in and out views, give it a try and see.

I think the best search you can use to google this is “carousels”. I have used this in the past: https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel (see the Pagination conponent)

https://github.com/meliorence/react-native-snap-carousel has something like this for a single item (with the others trailing off to the side)... Not sure about multiple foreground items though.
