react2svelte/image-gallery: Svelte carousel image gallery component with thumbnail and mobile swipe support, ported from react-image-gallery (demo linked inside)
A friend and I wanted to give Svelte a try and write a new website for a project in Svelte. We needed an image viewer with good mobile swipe support and found the existing options not good enough. But there was this react image gallery with half a million downloads a month and all the features we needed!

Load API content as elements become visible to users in React

Lazy loading react components with React.lazy and Suspense
The current UX trend is to use some kind of a placeholder animation while loading pieces of UI. react-content-loader is a popular npm package for this use case. It is customizable, supports react and react-native, has some bundled presets, and actually supports SVG animation out of the box.
