Do you mean grid like CSS grids https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_Grid_Layout or do you mean grid like data grid https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-data-grid ? Because I think people are assuming in their answers you mean the former. If its the second one its a whole other discussion.

I am using react-data-grid component. It provides a grid structure with edit and lot more options. When we click on each cell, we are able to edit the content of the cell. In my project, I have a situation like when the date column is focused I want to bind a UI where the user can able to select the date.for that, I have used react-datepicker component. I am able to give react-datepicker component as a formatter in the date column option. I can able to change the date in the react datepicker component, but that is not updating the cell value (when you click on the console data button you can able to see the changes have been updated or not).so guys help me how I can update the cell value when a different date is selected in the react-datepicker component. It happening automatically when the value is changed in other cells.

baserow had a lot of what i wanted, but the top-level feature set seemed very oriented towards a db admin tool rather than a programmatically managed user interface to single tables or views.

I'm trying to add excel like filtering to react-data-grid with primereact multiselect and running into some problems with the dropdown closing. By excel like filtering I mean when you apply a filter that updates all the other filters options instead of keeping the total options always. Here is a codesandbox that show the problem. So basically I want the dropdown to stay open even when the dropdown options change. Also you would notice this kind of makes a multiselect useless since the current filter your on will always be filter down to 1 option. So the current filter being changed should not change options but all the others filter options should change.

I was already starting to feel a little cornered in the whole Google ecosystem and a bit limited with stuff like backups, vendor lock in, etc. (and you always have the obvious hanging over your head) and ultimately, I think I just find the mental model of a SQL database more intuitive compared to a NoSQL database. Their reputation is deserved. Google domains was killed only last year!

And this isn't even the first time I've been burned by Google's decisions. If you're familiar at all with the Google Graveyard, you'll know that Google has a long history of killing off products and services that people have come to rely on. This has happened to me a number of times, in both a personal and professional capacity, and frankly it's getting old.

They ruined every single opportunity to be more than an advertising company since Orkut. With scrapped attempts, starts and lack of intention for most of the 2010s to even during the early half of the Pixel Era, they seemingly haven't learnt to stick to something and iterate on it well.

And the fact that over 50% of their revenues come from search and by extension, advertising.

The fact' that til this day, they still haven't evolved from the "throwing shit at the wall then at the fan" strat which explains how they have fumbled so much so quickly.

The punchline is that in addition to hundreds of failed hobby projects, their stock is doing great. Monopoly power is a helluva drug.

To me Gemini is just sort of generic and uninteresting. There has to be hundreds or thousands of products and companies based on the name "Gemini" - "Bard" was at least interesting, different and distinct.

I've no idea about the quality of the product itself, I have never had a reason to use it. It's long past cliché now but I wouldn't get too attached to a Google product that is definitely costing a lot of money but which has no clear pathway to turning a profit. I think they will keep it ticking over until the hype train moves on from Chatbots/LLMs, and then it'll join the Google Graveyard @ https://killedbygoogle.com
