What where the most surprisingly usefull/useless qmk features to you?
I'd like to call out that one of the coolest yet underutilized features is Raw HID, which performs bidirectional communication between QMK and the computer. In principle, this could enable some interesting new things, like having the keymap change adaptively based on the focused application or using the keyboard LEDs or OLED screen to indicated computer CPU use, battery, email notifications. The tricky thing is Raw HID requires writing software for the computer side as well. There is some existing work, like Drugantibus/qmk-hid-rgb and BlankSourceCode/qmk-hid-display, but it would be cool to see Raw HID become more widely used. Hopefully the QMK XAP protocol that's under development will make these kinds of things easier.

(Potentially) Running out of flash on Pro Micro with RGB animations and OLEDs on QMK?
I've come to the realization that I'd be better suited to just getting a Pro Micro/Elite C and running QMK, and later buying a NiceNano when ZMK has proper display support (I'm assuming ZMK display support is still a bit limited). I'd like to be able to do basic RGB stuff (different colors for different layers, maybe have arrow keys in a separate color, fade in/out when turning on, perhaps on device RGB adjustments even if that's a thing?). I also hope to be able to use the 2 OLEDs that I have (I'm hoping I can get basic stats from my laptop like time/battery etc with something like https://github.com/BlankSourceCode/qmk-hid-display) along with the 2 rotary encoders.

Error when running npm install
I'm trying to install a github package and I am getting this error. I do have VS installed so I am not sure what the issue is. As a side note I have no experience with node so I might be doing something really stupid wrong

Aide Memoire - what's where?
qmk-hid-rgb is an example.
- I just published my Python module to control RGB on QMK keyboards using raw HID, let me know what you think!
