-
Monitor payload size per request
You can, but you have to generate the metric and get it into a monitoring service (commonly prometheus) so kube's external metrics subsystem can see it and HPA can react to it.
- EKS autoscaler based on redis queue length
What are some alternatives?
sloth - 🦥 Easy and simple Prometheus SLO (service level objectives) generator
kube-state-metrics - Add-on agent to generate and expose cluster-level metrics.
OpenSLO - Open specification for defining and expressing service level objectives (SLO)
promxy - An aggregating proxy to enable HA prometheus
kubernetes-vmware-autoscaler - Kubernetes autoscaler for vsphere
influxdb - Scalable datastore for metrics, events, and real-time analytics [Moved to: https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb]
promscale - [DEPRECATED] Promscale is a unified metric and trace observability backend for Prometheus, Jaeger and OpenTelemetry built on PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.
prometheus - The Prometheus monitoring system and time series database.
helm-exporter - Export helm stats into the Prometheus format
pagespeed_exporter - Prometheus pagespeed exporter
stackset-controller - Opinionated StackSet resource for managing application life cycle and traffic switching in Kubernetes
