An "easy" workaround is to "upload" or generate bigger pixel art images (e.g. 10x or 20x) in the first place. If you use the pixelart gem / library / script. How do I make my own version of crypto punks?
You may try the one big-blue button random punk generator with new archetypes and attributes to get you started on exploring the punkverse. Right-click to save the generated punk (choose you x-factor 4x, 8x, 20x, etc). The script is open source. Use design.js to add more archtetypes and attributes, for example.
