The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

- Sorry in advance if this is the wrong sub for this question but does anyone know of a program I can use to send inputs to my switch?

I made a custom firmware for the Fightboard MX with native Switch support!
The core of the current Switch compatibility is descended from the progmem/Switch-Fightstick repo, but now that I know how to implement it I'm going to take a stab at refactoring for better performance and hopefully easier development since that LUFA stuff is annoying when working with other USB-based Arduino projects.

Communicating data between PC and Switch without modding?
There's a custom Arduino firmware project that does just that for you. It might help you. You can find it here.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Switch-Fightstick and SwitchInputEmulator you can also consider the following projects:
FightboardHybrid - Custom firmware for the Fightboard and Fightboard MX by thnikk, supporting XInput and Nintendo Switch
SwitchKBMEmulator - Nintendo Switch controller emulator that allows for keyboard and mouse to control the Switch. Emulates a HORIPAD Wired Controller.
Leonardo-Switch-Controller - Using Arduino Leonardo as a Pokken Tournament Pro Pad Wii U Controller that also works on Nintendo Switch as an almost Pro controller. Transfers input from a Wii Classic Controller.
sys-hidplus - A Nintendo Switch custom sysmodule to allow inputs over the network
sys-botbase
ArduinoTAS - This project should emulate a controller with the Arduino and play TAS on the Nintendo Switch.
