A question related to this has to do with the fact that d.tube unpins a video that did not receive at least 10 dollar cents in 7 days or it lacks frequent upvotes. If in this case d.tube unpins the video and its thumbnail does that mean that the title still exists or all traces are erased? If so if another node still has the video pinned will it then still be visible on d.tube? regardless of them having unpinned the video and thumbnail ?

In 2008 there was a huge international controversy when an old 1992 video clip from Paul de Leeuw's own TV show was posted on Youtube. This video has since then been meticulously removed from Youtube and other major platforms – even from Bitchute. I just signed up for a d.tube account yesterday and made sure that I copied everything exactly into a credentials text file. Not only was I unable to link my FB account during the signup process, I also never received the SMS code to link my phone number.

So, probably not the most ideal alternative if those are dealbreakers for you. 😊 You can check out there Wiki here for more info. 😊

What about d.tube?

Diversifying a lot. Next acquisition will be Ghost(https://ghost.org/) I bet. Similar DNA, fits in the portfolio (If they are trying to match the feature set of Google) and have no VC backing.

For example, if you are in a country where you can accept Stripe and are publishing a newsletter through, Substack or using the Ghost platform, enabling the ability to accept payments is a few clicks away. For those who cannot accept payment with Stripe, well, you are up the creek without a paddle. I do not know about you, but I see that as a barrier to access.

I use it as well for a small development blog and it's been an enjoyable experience

PlanetScale and Ghost were previously incompatible due to differences in their support for foreign key constraints. With PlanetScale now supporting foreign key constraints, a seamless collaboration between the two is achievable. Nonetheless, there remain minor incompatibilities that require resolution.
