Notes about React 18 RC (curated from React 18’s new test suites)
3 projects | reddit.com/r/reactjs | 26 Jan 2022
Aside: the Concurrent UI Patterns document is now very much out-of-date — timeoutMs has been removed from useDeferredValue about 1.4 years ago. That’s another reason why I decided to learn from their test suite (which is a living document) rather than discussions and traditional docs which apparently aged pretty quickly.3 projects | reddit.com/r/reactjs | 26 Jan 2022
In case you are curious about the story I git blame’d the test files and here’s what I found:
How to build a user-customizable design system with CSS modules
4 projects | dev.to | 25 Jan 2022
We’re using React, Nextjs, and CSS Modules. React is a frontend framework great for building dynamic and stateful UI. Nextjs enables server-side rendering out of the box, which leads to faster and more performant web pages. CSS modules allow styles to be scoped to the component they apply to. This is important as a codebase scales and class name collisions are more likely. You can read more about the challenges of CSS at scale here.

What is flat bundling and why is Rollup better at this than Webpack?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/codehunter | 22 Jan 2022
I have recently been looking into rollup and seeing how it differs from Webpack and other bundlers. One thing I came across was that it is better for libraries because of "flat bundling". This is based on a tweet and from a recent PR for React to utilize Rollup.
