Should I use MINT?
As a dev, I love the Jetbrains IDEs, and strongly recommend using Jonas Groeger's PPA to automate the install for you: https://github.com/JonasGroeger/jetbrains-ppa . If you use it, send him a quick thanks as when I thanked him he told me I was the first person to ever thank him for his effort setting up and maintaining it!
- [Mint 21] Why does pycharm spawn another icon on panel when all other apps grouped?

Use Snap they said, it is good they said! haha
Use this PPA instead (when there is new updates from IntelliJ, it triggers a downloader that will download from official servers): https://github.com/JonasGroeger/jetbrains-ppa

New to Mint and Linux in general , need some tips!
If you're using Jetbrains stuff under Linux, use Jonas' private package archive (PPA). https://github.com/JonasGroeger/jetbrains-ppa . He spent a lot of time setting it up so it's automated to give you the latest updates as a package. I've tried all the other options for Jetbrains stuff under Linux, and they suck hard compared to this. Jonas is an utter champ for this work he's done!
