Install Pop!_OS ARM64 on Apple Silicon with Apple Virtualization framework
Pop!_OS ARM64 do not have .iso yet. So you cant easily install like other distros. But it do have an offcial .img format. You can install it with qemu. But when I run it, the display is black because some unknown issue of the graphics device. When I run the installed .img with UTM, it worked, but only with non GPU-supported graphics device. So it is very laggy.

Is Pop!_OS ready?
Asahi does not ship with a UEFI interactive shell. Your bootloader/kernel needs to be placed at \EFI\BOOT\BOOTAA64.efi on your esp in order for the UEFI to find it. Though that should all be handled by the distro maintainer. If you really want to run Pop!_OS, I would ask for specific Asahi instruction on their ARM page (which does appear to have Asahi specific scripts)

Any guide to install Pop!_OS?
I know this and this exist, but non of them show a guided install of Pop!_OS. Any user friendly guide to install Pop_OS!, such as a video or a website, etc?

Using baremetal Asahi Linux (Ubuntu) on M1 Mac Minis for homelab
I used an Asahi Linux distro (Ubuntu Server 22.04LTS) - https://github.com/UbuntuAsahi/ubuntu-asahi as Ubuntu is a supported distro and KVM host in Apache #CloudStack. I want to explore if this can be used as a viable KVM/virtualisation host. After initial install, I had to manually setup openssh and bridge-utils on it. Initial impressions - I was amazed, I knew the new Apple silicon chips are fast (tried on Mac OS) but on Linux on them is really "really" fast while consuming only 5-6W idle and about 20W for full "server" workloads (CPU) and it was very quiet and cool.

Confused about Asahi Linux Minimal -- ubuntu?
No, the minimal option is Arch Linux without a desktop environment (GUI). Asahi aims to put Linux in general (maybe Ubuntu one day) on the Apple silicon Macs. While there is way to install Ubuntu, it's not supported by the Asahi team. Here it is: https://github.com/tobhe/ubuntu-asahi

Ubuntu 22.10 running on M1 MacBook Air (bare metal)
Never really seen anybody on the internet write a guide to install Ubuntu on apple silicon based macs, so I’ve decided to come out the public and publish a guide on how to install Ubuntu on apple silicon based macs. First and foremost, go to this GitHub page: https://github.com/tobhe/ubuntu-asahi and run these scripts in the macOS terminal: curl -sL https://tobhe.de/ubuntu/install > install.sh # Download less install.sh # Review sh install.sh # Run
