polybar-pulseaudio-control VS sennheiser-gsx-1000

I'm lacking in scripts and bash. I'm the creator of the pulseaudio-control module for polybar. We recently released the v3.0.0 version, which adds support for sources (i.e., microphones). Thanks to this, you'll also be able to switch between microphones, mute them or control their volume, directly from your status bar.

Now that I saw its last build is from 2017, using pavucontrol seems better in any way. I will try this one.

For pulseaudio, there's a built-in module as well. You can see that on the polybar wiki. I use this instead: https://github.com/marioortizmanero/polybar-pulseaudio-control Works like a charm. Does mutes and everything and is fine with bluetooth devices.

I just made this module to easily control PulseEffects, as the creator of polybar-pulseaudio-control.

Also, have you looked at any of the DAC-specific projects for your DAC for Linux floating around. For example, this one claims to provide support for both the GSX1000 and the GSX1200: https://github.com/evilphish/sennheiser-gsx-1000

To add one more thing: some of the channels were swapped. This profile helped: https://github.com/evilphish/sennheiser-gsx-1000/blob/master/usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/sennheiser-gsx-1000-channelswap.conf

The funny thing is after I updated this post, updating broke my config again, and I was back to square one. I'm still not sure what exactly made it work in the first place, but I found this on github that finally got things working properly.
