WhyTheLuckyStiff wrote the infamous Why's Poignant Guide to Ruby. Just off the top of my head, Why put out a lot of open source projects. People where not kind to his code or him so he deleted all of his repos and moved off of Ruby.

Rustlings is the greatest thing ever
However, I stumbled across Tauri (as a replacement for Electron), and installed Rust just to get Tauri to work. A few days later, I installed Rustlings (https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings) on a whim, and did the first exercise.
