Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Setting up Eglot for Python
This snippet is what I'm using to configure eglot. The thing I found to be the more difficult is to make pyls find the project virtualenv/dependancies, for that I use https://github.com/cybniv/poetry.el with the minor mode poetry-tracking-mode.

I initially had some problems, then I've written an emacs package[1] to fix all of them. And it's due to the course of writing this package made me realize just how bad pre-commit is from its UX, design to its entire premise.
