We have created a full user manual on our GitHub site with instructions on you how to configure the Pi, and there is also example code for how to integrate it into your own software. But you can also just run our pi-battery-widget on your desktop GUI, which takes care of everything. Lots more info on our website news page for things like remote monitoring (code also on GitHub), and an assembly video on Youtube. Hope that helps!

  • Have you found a way to remote access battery usage and full restart/shutdown control?

We've created a very simple way to be able to remotely monitor the Red Reactor battery status using your web browser on your phone/tablet etc. The code is all on our GitHub Page and uses Python with FLASK to populate an HTML template, and respond to user actions on the web page, so giving you a full view of battery status, voltage and current graphs (using Matplotlib in Python), temperature graph and Pi CPU status, and buttons to force a reboot or shutdown. As a template it will be very easy to extend it with any additional information you need to see from your project. Great for when you're running your Pi remotely or headless, no need to use SSH to see what's going on.
