Plotting the memory of a PHP process with Gnuplot 📈
I learned a lot in the process, but also noticed the nice memory graphs in the video and figured it would be hard to troubleshoot anything if I didn't have them. When using php extensions such as Benoît's or Arnaud Le Blanc's to take a snapshot of the memory, it's great to think about the most appropriate moment to take that snapshot in order to capture the memory leak you might be hunting. Sure, you can use Monolog's MemoryUsageProcessor to that end, but I thought it would be more useful to get something a bit more ✨visual✨.

Having memory leaks on testing?
Maybe give https://github.com/arnaud-lb/php-memory-profiler a try. Til you actually track down the leak, you're asking someone else to go down this rabbit hole for a contrived scenario.

Free software in my smartphone
The easiest option is to get a phone that can run a de-googled Android distribution. The most secure choice is a Google Pixel with GrapheneOS. However, if you don't want to give Google your money, there are more options for LineageOS. In either case, you'll get a bare-bones initial set of apps with no Google spyware. You can install FLOSS apps from F-Droid.
-
[OC] Apple Services is a gigantic business now
I run https://grapheneos.org/ which has a sandboxed Google Play Services app. the OS is incredibly usable and pixel hardware is still pretty decent
-
Russian border guards did something with my moms phone — need help
Not knowing her/your specific situation, this might be overkill, but if she wants the most secure device possible, GrapheneOS is the answer.
- Google Pixel Phones und GrapheneOS
-
why do a lot of linux users hate Google and its products?
I've been using GraphineOS on my phone for years for the reasons you point out. Its a degoogled fork of Android. There are some tradeoffs but its worth it to me
-
The (GNU/)Linux rabbit hole has been a negative influence on my mental state
GrapheneOS should prove to suffice, as even Snowden endorses it.
-
Do any Linux phones have access to Apple App Store or Android App Store?
The three most popular ROMs right now are LineageOS, CalyxOS, and GrapheneOS. You must do your own research and decide which one is right for you.
-
Nextcloud on Android
If you are really "hoping to break away from iCloud and Google Drive completely," which is a great objective imo, you might consider switching not only to Android and NextCloud, but de-googling as much as possible by using GrapheneOS.
-
In addition to physically protecting yourself, guard your information online
While this is 100% not necessary, you try out more private operating systems like GrapheneOS on your phone or Linux on your computer.

[AMA] I'm Alex, co-founder at LocalMonero and AgoraDesk, we run some of the biggest Monero and Bitcoin P2P trading platforms on the market. AMA!
AgoraDesk offers the same experience as the classic LocalBitcoins used to with no platform-enforced KYC (individual traders might still impose KYC). We also include Tor and I2P portals, a NoJS mode for maximum security and Tor browser compatibility. Our mobile apps are open source. We run even on phones with no Google play services installed, such as phones running GrapheneOS (shoutout to /r/GrapheneOS!)
