Last year I tried to use Rollup, Phaser, and TypeScript based on an existing template. When I tried to npm install an audio library (Howler) - it broke in such a way that I needed to debug a convoluted asset build configuration. I couldn't figure out how to fix it. In the end I decided to ditch the build system entirely and go pure JavaScript.

Wanted to hear if anyone's had any experience with Photonstorm's phaser 3 / typescript / rollup template and what you did to achieve reasonable dev server hot reloading times on save? Like, I thought rollup was supposed to be a step up from webpack? But developing with it is turning into a serious pain, when every time you save a change, it takes 20 seconds to recompile before you can test your change in the browser.
