Cathy the catalog tool. Great tool for locating your files across multiple drives/external media etc. Original is Windows only, but there is a Python port: https://github.com/binsento42/Cathy

GitHub - StephaneCouturier/Katalog: Katalog is a desktop application to manage catalogs of disks and files.

- Any good recommendations for Linux software similar to VVV (VirtualVolumeView) which is cross-platform but apparently broken on Linux/MacOSX ?
-
Looking for removable drive catagoriser software
I did try running it in Wine but only with limited success. There might be a way to do that but I actually found out there is a somewhat usable python port endorsed on the official website of the program that is able to run on Linux. It has limited functionality and only web based GUI so I might still develop an alternative at some point to make it more seemless for my dad.
What are some alternatives?
sqls - SQL language server written in Go.
Katalog - Katalog is an application to manage catalogs of disks and files to search and get statistics.
dot-tools - Tools for managing dotfiles using git
mkvtoolnix-batch-tool - Batch video and subtitle processing program with the ability to add, remove, or extract subtitles from all video files in a directory and its sub-directories.
sysbox - sysadmin/scripting utilities, distributed as a single binary
nnn - n³ The unorthodox terminal file manager
cobra - A Commander for modern Go CLI interactions
BackDrop - A cold storage backup tool for drives, folders, and network shares
fzf - :cherry_blossom: A command-line fuzzy finder
utility-scripts - This repo contains the list of my personal bash scripts and setups. Might be useful in some day to day tasks.
alacritty - A cross-platform, OpenGL terminal emulator.
