Setup an ArchLinux package caching proxy on Raspberry Pi 4
So I built my own tool pacman-backup that allows exporting the cache to a usb drive, and to emulate a simple pacman server that you can run inside the local network.

It's more hate than love but it does.. Stuff
Maybe try ShareDrop? It supports sending files to those on other networks too (click the + button in the top right corner), though I've never tried it myself.

What is the quickest way to send a file from Mac/PC to S23 Ultra?
KDE Connect application. Or try https://www.sharedrop.io/ for no installations, just make sure all devices are connected to the same network.
Shocked no one mentioned www.sharedrop.io

What self hosted services do you share with friends and family?
Pairdrop? Wow, I only heard of ShareDrop, WebDrop, SnapDrop and FilePizza.

How to send a 101GB file to someone else?
I'm blanking on some specifics, but I feel like there are probably a few p2p websites like https://www.sharedrop.io/ that can maybe do this. That one seems to be open source, so probably fiiine.

Fastest way to transfer files to Boox?
https://www.sharedrop.io (adds .zip to all the files transferred, annoying but fixable)

Pairdrop Is a Free, Open Source, Cross Platform, Browser Based Airdrop Like File and Text Sharing App That Uses Encrypted Peer-To-Peer Connections
https://www.sharedrop.io/ - It had the popup with the Save button, but tapping "Save" over and over had no result.
I like it. Looks an awful lot like ShareDrop. Why is that?

Looking for a way to directly sent files over the internet, P2P
Haven't tried them, but it might be worth giving a shot to one of these P2P "shares" using WebRTC, like this one.

Ask HN: Why is AirDrop so slow?
I have had good experiences with both Sharedrop (https://www.sharedrop.io/) and Snapdrop (https://snapdrop.net/). While they don't benefit from the slickness of being integrated in iOS, they both try to emulate the experience as much as possible and transfer effectively.
