  • Improving JavaScript Performance: Understanding Async Tasks in Arrays
    1 project | dev.to | 27 Aug 2024
p-map is a lightweight library that helps you handle asynchronous operations on arrays with controlled concurrency. It allows you to map over an array of promises and specify a limit on the number of concurrent operations. This is particularly useful when you need to perform tasks like fetching data from multiple URLs, processing files, or interacting with APIs, as it helps prevent overwhelming your server or exceeding API rate limits. By using p-map, you can strike a balance between speed and resource management, ensuring that your application remains stable and responsive under load.

https://www.pathfinder-w.space/ doesn't appear to be working, I'm guessing it's a temporary issue. I didn't miss a notice about them discontinuing the site or anything? If this is a longer term issue, is there another comparable site that doesn't require me hosting my own web server?

Anoik.is is a fine suggestion, however, if you are intending to check out more than a couple holes, you might consider taking a look at a mapper such as pathfinder, or tripwire.

  • Trying exploration in a wormhole for the first time.

it's going to be harder without a cloak, but you have the right idea treating exploration as a learning experience first and an isk-making method second in my opinion. you can try using pathfinder https://www.pathfinder-w.space/ or a similar third party mapping tool if you haven't already. check out sites in low sec & null as well so you can learn the various threats in different kinds of space. basically treat it like a survival game where you're looking for space treasures on the side.

Pathfinder is an application that maps cosmic signatures. Since wormholes do not have gates, its quite useful to have a map to either other wormholes or the normal systems.

Scan the WH connections and jump through. Remember to set a bookmark on either side. With "0" for heading home. This avoids starting in WHs close to high sec which would be heavily traversed. Consider using https://www.pathfinder-w.space/ which is awesome for tracking where you were/are). (<3 to my starting WH group).
