any reason you guys aren't using https://github.com/ppy/osu-difficulty-calculator? ppy approved and in c# (same as sandoku). Admittedly I've never tried to get it running myself, but it's what the osu! backend itself uses to calculate difficulty attributes for all gamemodes.

The first thing was to make ourselves independent from the difficulty API and calculating the difficulty numbers ourselves. We wrote SanDoku for this, which is an HTTP API wrapped around the game library: it takes beatmaps and returns difficulty numbers.
