How get unique hardware ID for each Hyper-V guest VM instance
I am trying to a get the machine ID to change in a Hyper-V virtual machine (VM) with Windows 10 guest OS. I am able to get a new machine ID different from the host PC within the VM depending on if the VM is configured as Gen1 or Gen2. HOWEVER, it doesn't matter how many VMs I create and how I configure the VM, all the VM instances have the same machine ID. Using HWID spoofers or changing the version of Windows in the VM has not worked.
What are some alternatives?
