sqm-autorate/sqm-autorate https://github.com/sqm-autorate/sqm-autorate :
> sqm-autorate is a program for OpenWRT that actively manages the CAKE Smart Queue Management (SQM) bandwidth settings through measurments of traffic load and latency. OpenWrt 22.03 is currently shipping a version that was released back in August 2022, can i change some "mirror" on the opkg config to get the latest version from the master branch on GitHub or do i really need to build my own image?

https-dns-proxy service restart after dialup
https://github.com/openwrt/packages/pull/16776 says the issue was fixed. However it mentions that it’s using hotplug and if yours isn’t the router in question then a hotplug event won’t be generated.

AdGuard Home - XBOX showing up as both client IP and 192.168.1.1
There's some good pointers here, but I admit it's a bit advanced, as I said Openwrt's implementation is meant to be made more accessible (it'll get better in time) but this is one of those cool gadget programs that has so many knobs and buttons to play with that it is inherently a bit fullon lol

Going in circles without a real-time clock
In OpenWrt (Linux distro for routers that often don't have RTC) dnsmasq starts with `--dnssec-no-timecheck` until the ntp client gets a first sync (https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/5acfe55d7139a52941...)

imminent release of openwrt 23.05
I'm worried that the issue I reported in -rc4 (default gateway route missing) hasn't been fixed. https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/13598

Suggestions for best DD-WRT router for use as a wired backhaul mesh setup
I suspect that's one of the reasons why people contribute a lot more to OpenWRT, because they can simply go into Github fork, PR and discuss things. https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pulls
