opentelemetry-collector-releases VS signoz

Download the appropriate binary package for your Linux or macOS distribution from the OpenTelemetry Collector releases page. We are using the latest version available at the time of writing this tutorial.

The collectors come already pre-compiled and are available for download in the releases repo. Docker containers are also available.

You should also check out SigNoz [1], we are an open-core alternative to DataDog - based natively on OpenTelemetry. We also have a cloud product if you don't want to host yourself

We also have traces, metrics and logs in a single application which makes correlation across them much easier. From what I can understand from Quickwit website, they use Grafana and Jaeger for UI.
