Goodreads Is Terrible for Books. Why Can’t We All Quit It?
I stopped using Goodreads recently and started using an open source alternative to track my book reads[1].
I was only using it to keep track of what I was reading so it made sense for me to just use this app instead.

What is your favorite app that doesn't have a good open source alternative?
Not exactly the same but maybe QRAlarm is close enough. User must scan a QR code to dismiss the alarm. Idea is to print the QR code and place it somewhere far enough from your bed that you have to get up to go scan it.
- Looking for a simple alarm that will make me walk/do jumping jacks and won't collect weird data
