I stopped using Goodreads recently and started using an open source alternative to track my book reads[1].
I was only using it to keep track of what I was reading so it made sense for me to just use this app instead.

Obsidian has a book search plugin that people use to create a library of notes: https://github.com/anpigon/obsidian-book-search-plugin
I recently came across it in a youtube video but haven't used it myself.
