Goodreads Is Terrible for Books. Why Can’t We All Quit It?
I stopped using Goodreads recently and started using an open source alternative to track my book reads[1].
I was only using it to keep track of what I was reading so it made sense for me to just use this app instead.

Geometric Weather not working
Probably this one. I have widget problem for quite a while now so when I bought a new phone last month I try debug build. Version show up as the newest one on fdroid so I'm not sure, and haven't update since because fdroid think I have latest version due to that.

I use Forcastie and it provides all the info you listed. I've also see Geometric Weather recommended but I've never used it so I don't know if does everything you need.
