ALPINE linux as guest, copy & paste not working
I can't say why Alpine Linux doesn't have that package. My guess its due to being a security focused distro it omits it because it could be seen as a security issue. If you absolutely want to use Alpine Linux you could try building it from source (https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/) or us the VMware Tools ISO: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1018414

I am wondering if someone have news about the updates of the open-vm-tools package for Rocky Linux (v8.6 or 9) I am trying to update them to fix the CVE 2022-31676. They are available on github but need to be compiled manually (nightmare to maintain later in a professional env) and fedore released an rpm package as well.

[question] iPod Touch 3G stuck in recovery mode and unable to restore. Anyone knows what's wrong? I turned it off and on one day and now it's stuck on recovery mode and i can't restore it
Or a VM (Virtiual Machine here are examples: VirtualBox and VMware) to install older windows versions. Maybe even macOS,but for that you need a patcher.

I am trying to make a macOS 13 virtual machine by following the tutorial from techrechhard. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to work.
So in other words, you did it wrong. First of all, avoid .VDMK's, you never know what's in them, use an .ISO. Preferably one created on a MAC. As for your choice of VM, VirtualBox is total shit for running MAC on, use VMware instead. You'll need to install it, then run the unlocker tool found here: https://github.com/paolo-projects/unlocker After that is done, create your virtual machine, but before booting, edit the .VMX file by adding the following lines at the bottom:

Best VM for running macOS
For me, Vmware Player ran the smoothest. For this you need the following, because virtualization of MacOS on non-MacOs devices is not supported by Vmware: https://github.com/paolo-projects/unlocker.
