yeah I tried adding it, but I couldn't find a way to add support for it to open-directory-downloader, especially not while supporting easy updates, so I decided to just let /u/KoalaBear84 handle those :P

Need help with an OD indexer that I am writing in Python
I also wrote a NodeJS wrapper for ODD (https://github.com/Chaphasilor/open-directory-downloader) so that I could easily use ODD in my other projects, you might wanna do the same with Python? This way everyone who knows Python could make use of ODDs edge-case handling and stability!

Based on your question about SQLite, it seems like you want to store the database inside of the program as opposed to on the internet. Furthermore, your data doesn't seem to be super relational to my knowledge. You might be better off using something like diskcache to store the data instead.
