Intel NUC1165 with EGPU
Very long story short - the only way I was able to get it to work without BSOD was to install the latest Canary build of Win11. I used this tool: Offline Insider Enroll because I'm running a bootcamp partition on an intel macbook pro. I also needed to use this tool to bypass the TPM check because the macbook pro is not officially supported: Skip TPM Check on Dynamic Update.

BitLocker error on boot after updating Windows 11 to 23H2
Yesterday I updated my Windows 11 laptop (2020 Razer Blade) to Windows 11 23H2 by using the ISO downloaded from Microsoft. I had been on the Windows Insider program but wanted to go back to the regular release channel which is why I manually updated, however even after updating I was still listed as "queued for unenrollment" so I ran the following tool which successfully switched this back to regular release: https://github.com/abbodi1406/offlineinsiderenroll

Any good books on learning the windows OS?
Published 2017. Windows 10 ends in 2025. Microsoft stopped selling licenses for 10. The rapid rate at which Microsoft changes Windows internals (https://github.com/riverar/mach2), books are not effective. An online resource that is updated alongside Windows is better. As I stated already. It's not worth buying books.

the a/b testing isn't exclusive to insider, a/b tests can happen on any channel, & in fact every stable build of windows has contained a bunch of disabled features.

For those interested, the feature with that ID is named "STTest" in the symbols and the action vivetool is invoking is the disabling of that feature. The feature first made an appearance in build 22557.

How to fix AMD fTPM Stuttering on Windows 11
According to mach2, this disables TpmCoreProvFunctionLogger. This in theory shouldn't have any side effects, since it seems to just be some logging functionality(i.e. writing data to disk for debugging purposes), but in general, messing with vivetool is not recommended and may break things.
