obsidian-todoist-plugin VS obsidian

I switched to Todoist because the free version does what I want and it's got an excellent plugin - Todoist Sync - https://github.com/jamiebrynes7/obsidian-todoist-plugin

I use both and they work well together. I have a pinned note below the calendar, with the Todoist embed.

Todoist helps me to organize tasks and sub-tasks for my projects and sub-projects, and thanks to Todoist Plugin I can sync Todoist with Obsidian by using an API key.

Right now I'm using Obsidian, with this Todoist plugin, since Todoist can sync with Google Calendar. It shows Todoist tasks in its own window / tab, however its not a text file that I can edit. I can't edit tasks and I can only add them in a separate window.

After that, you can integrate Todoist with Obsidian using the plugin.

The Obsidian integration is a third party development using the Todoist API so that is free as well. It is very simple to use and provides the functionality you’d expect: filtering, completion on click, auto-refresh, etc.

Yeah, that's probably it. I just looked at its github page and it was incompatible with V1.0+ so they removed it for now.

Thanks! I'm using the Primary theme. Out of curiosity, what made you stop using Obsidian-Anki integration?

Finally the last advice I would give my younger self is to find a good theme that makes writing enjoyable and don’t spend too much time trying to add custom CSS etc. Look at “gems of the year 2021”, take one compatible with the Style Settings plugin and don’t spend too much time playing the CSS (unless you know what you are doing). I personally use Primary these days and I think I will stick with it.
