Shortcut ?
In general I recommend using QuickSwitcher++ to perform any command. Set cmd/ctrl + p to QuickSwitcher++: Open in Commands Mode. The cool thing is that this commands mode view displays your recently used commands. This commands history is preserved until you close Obsidian.

Quick switcher with open files at the top
Quick Switcher++ is a very helpful tool, it allows you to search for open editors by typing a special prefix (edt by default) in the quick switcher. But I think it’s still not very intuitive, I want the “search any file and open it” action and “search for existing open file and activate it” to be combined into one thing to use.

Can you write a short book in Obsidian?
No. See the second image in this page. Status bar is located in the yellow area. My question is that can this yellow area cover your note (last visible line) so that you cannot see what you are writing. I think auto scrolling by 1 line happens after you finish the last visible line.

Does anyone remember the Community Plugin that allows user to add shortcuts on the left bar to execute commands faster?
I believe that would be Commander.

I created shortcuts in my ribbon to access the plugin store, community plugin store, and the theme store! Details in the commands.
I used the Advanced URI, URI Commands, and Commander plugins.
