obsidian-kanban VS Notion-to-Obsidian-Converter

The killer feature for me is how extensible the software is made to be. It truly lets you use it how you want, and makes very few assumptions on how you are meant to use the software.

Case in point: one of my favorite productivity plugins is a full-fledged Kanban board. With deep integration into Obsidian features:

I use https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidian-kanban . With each card is tied to a file. The file links to all info, documents and other project related timelines of meetings etc. The status is based on where it sits on your board.

Thanks for it, I am a long time user of https://publish.obsidian.md/kanban/, and was searching for a dedicated alternative since I was using Obsidian just for it, and it looks great.

Just searched and found this plugin, or maybe this guide. I'll almost certainly do something like this, can't thank you enough.

theres even a super no-fuss-no-muss kanban plugin, which still is just a literal markdown file (https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidian-kanban)

Kanban this is my favourite plugin, its essentially a really good tool for loose notetaking and has literally saved the progression of my worldbuilding. I keep stuff vaguely organised and just write dot points in it, so easy. link

Would there be a calendar plugin out there that can synch with this kanban board by mgmeyers? Sync, in the sense, that when I create a new card in kanban, its date and task will automatically appear in the calendar as well?

Hmm? You can get the raw data and data for tables too.

Personally, I tried porting over the notion notes to obsidian through the Notion-to-Obsidian-Converter tool and it works okay-ish.

I download the Workspace, remove all *.cvs files (databases), use https://github.com/connertennery/Notion-to-Obsidian-Converter to remove the UUID, and that's it.

Hey! I've read a lot about Obsidian and have been trying it on the side. I've decided to switch to Obsidian from Notion, but i'm having issues migrating with this script. It throws random errors that I don't understand, and I think it's because I'm not using it correctly. Where can I find a more step-to-step guide on it? Thanks!

I'm trying to export some notes from a Notion Database into Obsidian but the tool I have found seems to not be working https://github.com/connertennery/Notion-to-Obsidian-Converter . When I try tu run the script it shows a Syntax error

Notion helped me turn my life around and it will always have a place in my heart. That said, my lifestyle changed in the last year and offline use became a necessity. I finally made the switch to Obsidian about a half year ago, and holy jumpin' I'm glad I did. Obsidian is offline by design, totally free, and you own your notes/data. The switch was a little painful at first (there's a notion-to-obsidian converter that makes it easier) but there's so much more functionality that leads to better writing/note taking/idea creation. It's worth it.

You can use the export option in Notion. Then use the scripts provided at https://github.com/connertennery/Notion-to-Obsidian-Converter to clean up unnecessary lines and characters. I used this myself and it works.
