OpenAPI in a serverless repo
I prefer to write the OpenAPI spec in YAML by hand as the source of truth and use that to auto-generate the appropriate client and server types for whichever languages those are implemented in. For my current project, I use oazapfts to generate TypeScript client types that my frontend uses to talk to the backend.

A journey towards a type-safe GraphQL API server
There are two main approaches to keeping the types of the GraphQL schema and entities in business logic in sync. You can generate the schema based on your TypeScript code (e.g. TypeGraphQL), or you can generate types based on your schema (e.g. GraphQL Code Generator).
