nvtop VS btop

If you're certain your GPU has deeper power saving states than P8, I would start by checking why it's not using them. Maybe tlp, powertop or nvtop (or their documentation) can help.

Did you run any of the "dashboards" while executing the test? Like [NvTop](https://github.com/Syllo/nvtop)

If you plan on making a system monitor/task manager, could you please make it display actual useful information and not just extremely basic stats like most do now. GNOME and KDE both have overly simple applications for this, that just show the CPU and memory utilisation, and it makes finding information like the processor frequency and temperature so much more difficult. On Windows, for example, the task manager performance tab shows a much greater amount of information for each system component, not just total utilisation. GPU usage is also never shown in any of the popular system monitors, something that's probably important for a lot of users. It's not even necessarily impossible since projects such as nvtop are able to. I do hope we'll eventually get a much better GUI program for monitoring our system in Linux.

Can't nvtop do that?

I'm looking for an alternative to nvtop. It's a Ncidia monitoring tool for Linux. You can easily monitor or kill processes via terminal. I used the nvidia-smi command on windows commanline, but it gives very little information.

Try monitoring your VRAM using nvtop (or something), then run training, if the VRAM maxed, training stopped, then VRAM dropped, then it's 100% not enough VRAM.

Great work, it looks amazing! But what's the point of going through all the pain of rendering graphs in text? At that point, give me an actual graph. The code will be less messy and the information display will be better.

Btop is even more advanced than htop. It is almost like a GUI in terminal, and it feels like a dashboard of an airplane. I like it, but when I want to see what processes are using most of my resources, it is usually htop that comes to my mind and not btop, since btop shows more by default than I usually want. Htop is good, but these days I prefer using Btop.

I love this and will definitely try it out! Although I admit I'm a little puzzled when people simultaneously want to do a TUI but also design things so there is generous (excessive, actually) whitespace around everything to create the illusion of "minimalism" or "comfort".

It's a TUI! It should be buzzing with numbers, packed with information, sparing with space and using every pixel possible. btop[1] is a great example imo — one of the best.

I am using Arco Linux (Arch Based) and today my machine was working as normal, but then I lost Wifi connection. I had btop opened in another monitor and when o lost connection, it crashed. Don't know what it means. This has happened before, but before I would just restart and everything would work fine again, but now, the OS doesn't show me anything Wifi related. When it happens,restarting shows are logs that normaly don't appear (can't show them here because they are now showing up anymore) and it takes a long time to restart, if it even restarts, sometimes I have to press down the power button (it's that bad). My mother is TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI, the Wifi adapter is the one that comes with the motherboard. I am on the Linux kernel 6.4.2 (I think), I updated the system this morning. On Windows (where I am writing this from), I don't have this problem.
