null VS cakephp-swagger-bake

Use-case: working on PATCH requests, the body may or may not contain nullable values. I am using guregu/null and I can't use a pointer because if the json contains "null" as a value, the pointer will be set to nil in the struct, instead of a value representing the presence of null. In short I can't differentiate the absence of the field in the request from the presence of the field with a null value.

Unfortunately in Go, switching to *bool makes the api a little more awkward to use since users that need to set true or false have to define a local variable then use a pointer to that. Another option would be something like null, but that adds a dependency to your currently-dependency-free project. If anyone has a better solution to this pattern, I'd love to hear it.

The Postman UX is not good on it. It's easy to get lost in tabs, they should ditch the tabs and categorize requests under the actual endpoint. There is also no way to easily save like requests and give them better names that is also searchable. It's also built on electron which means its slow and clunky.

There is nothing good in this space. Swagger would do it if they let you save requests to local browser storage and just added a history dropdown to the endpoints. I use swagger and save common requests to a file system and open them in sublime. if its just JSON payloads I am working with it does the job.

Really anything modern works. I thought Laravel was supposed to be easy to learn, but I have only poked around. Symfony is fine, I've done a lot in it.
